Not so good…
EA Games Espana (who, if you remember from a previous post, were the first to give a firm release date for Battlefield 2) have posted minimum system requirements for the game. I have two problems:
- My graphics card (Geforce FX5600) doesn’t seem to be on the list of compatible cards (although it seems to say that anything that can do DX9.0b will suffice, and since my card handles Half Life 2’s DX9.0c that should be fine)
- 1Gb of RAM recommended spec. OK, so I have half that, but my decent processor (P4 3.2Ghz w/HT) and decent amount of VRAM (the 5600 has 256Mb on it) should hopefully compensate for that.
I’ll see what the reviews say, but if the performance issue seems major I may end up having to wait for a demo (for performance testing) before I buy the game. Grr.
