After a few months playing RPGs and strategy games, I re-installed Enemy Territory last night. Unfortunately the nature of the people playing seems to have changed. Whereas before most players would form decent team tactics, go for objectives over glory and generally play the game properly, most servers now seem to be full of xp-whores and spawn campers.
Previously such people would have been kickvoted faster than you could say n00b, but it has gotten to the stage that teams actually leave one or two people (significant in a team of 
at their spawnpoint just to stop people from camping it.
Maybe I’m being too pessimistic, but it looks to me like Enemy Territory has lost one of the main things that made it better than Counterstrike- the lack of idiots.
