SuSE 10.1
Well, the reason for the distinct lack of posting over the last few days is that I have been setting up a Windows XP/SuSE 10.1 dual boot. After some gnashing of teeth over WPA, I finally found an ethernet cable and was able to connect to my router (and download the necessary packages in SuSE) that way. Now I see what all the fuss is about. As well as all the security, stability etc. gains, SuSE is actually more polished than Windows XP. Of course Windows has its good points (hence the dual boot) – chief among which is the fact that, entertaining diversion though SuperTux is, I cannot run any of my games on SuSE.
That’s not the SuSE developers’ fault of course, but a dual boot is perfect – I can use each OS for the tasks it is best at.
