Strange priorities

I’m not normally prone to short ‘linkblog’-style posts, but in this case I’ll make an exception. Critics of Wikipedia often claim that the ‘nerdy teenage male’ demographic of most of its contributors introduce an inherent pop-culture bias leaving more important topics under-covered.

While I’m not a ‘critic of Wikipedia’, I’m happy to provide them with an actual example in the hope that it will spur nerdy teenage male Wikipedians to write about topics other than the media they consume. Wikipedia has a longer article about Cow and Chicken than it does about the Chinese exports lead scare (15.33kB vs 11.78kB, respectively).
